Who We Are
Introduction & History
In 2021, Norwalk residents committed to a healthy community came together to intervene and meaningfully participate in their city’s land-use planning. Since then, the grassroots group of residents has transformed into Norwalk Unides, a nonprofit organization committed to housing justice, transportation equity, and environmental justice in Norwalk and Southeast Los Angeles County.
After successfully establishing partnerships with other community-based organizations, Norwalk Unides’ work has expanded from Norwalk to across Southeast Los Angeles County. Through programming and advocacy campaigns, Norwalk Unides continues to educate community members and outreach to diverse residents, policymakers, and other stakeholders.
